#KC8: The Journey into God’s Purpose

Finding the Courage to Listen and Follow God’s Leading

1 Year Anniversary Conversation
27 May 2026 • 8PM–9PM UK

At #KC8, Kingdom Conversations marked its 1 year anniversary with the beginning of a special series exploring The Journey into God’s Purpose. This first conversation focused on Kingdom First, reflecting on what it means to seek God first, hear His voice, trust His leading and walk in obedience into purpose.

Amanda Blankson shared a powerful and inspiring personal journey of faith, obedience and purpose, reflecting on the steps that led to the birth of Kingdom Conversations. Through honest storytelling, testimony and scripture, the session explored how purpose often unfolds not through perfect plans or complete certainty, but through a willingness to take the next step with God.

The conversation explored how understanding the Kingdom of God can transform the way we see life, faith, challenges and purpose. It also reminded us that before God works through us, He often begins by working in us, realigning the heart, renewing the mind and teaching us to live under His leadership.

We explored:

  • How purpose begins with seeking God first
  • What it means to understand the Kingdom of God in a simple and practical way
  • How God works in us before He works through us
  • The importance of surrender, faith and obedience
  • How to discern God’s leading from personal ambition or emotion
  • Why purpose often unfolds one step at a time

Key Themes from #KC8

1. Kingdom First

Drawing from Matthew 6:33, we reflected on the importance of seeking first the Kingdom of God:

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33

We explored how Jesus was speaking to people who were worried about life, provision and the future. Rather than directing them to begin with their worries, He redirected them to begin with the Kingdom.

This reminded us that when God becomes the priority, everything else begins to find its proper place. Purpose is not something we pursue independently of God, it is discovered as we place Him at the centre of our lives and learn to live under His leadership.

2. Purpose Begins with Alignment

A key message from the evening was that purpose is not simply about achievement, success or finding something impressive to do. Purpose begins with alignment, allowing God to shape our hearts, renew our minds and change our understanding before revealing the next step.

3. God’s Kingdom is Practical

The conversation explored the Kingdom of God not only as a spiritual concept, but as a way of living under God’s leadership. The Kingdom message shapes how we think, respond, make decisions, handle pressure, deal with conflict and walk through personal challenges.

4. Faith Changes How We Walk Through Challenges

A recurring theme throughout the evening was the difference between simply enduring life's challenges and learning to navigate them through faith. We were encouraged to remain anchored in God’s promises, trusting that He is present in every season and able to work through even the most difficult situations.

5. Obedience Before Clarity

We discussed how God does not always reveal the full picture at once. Often, He invites us to trust Him step by step. The session encouraged us to consider that purpose may begin not when we feel fully ready, but when we are willing to follow God’s leading.

Reflection

#KC8 invited us to reflect on where God may be leading us, what step He may be asking us to take, and whether we are seeking Him first or trying to carry everything ourselves.

It was an evening marked by honesty, testimony, encouragement and gratitude, reminding us that purpose does not always begin with certainty. Sometimes it begins with surrender, faith and one step of obedience.

The Journey Continues

The journey continues in #KC9, where we will explore learning to listen, seasons of preparation and trusting God when the path ahead is not yet clear.

You don’t have to feel ready, just follow God’s leading
